Memorial Garden
The memorial garden on the west side of St. Philip’s (outside the altar window) was built in the 1980s as an “inviting and appropriate burial site” for cremated remains of church members and their families. The garden features a center cross aligned with the cross behind the altar and almost appears to be its shadow. Some are burial locations are marked with bronze plaques or lake stones.
The memorial garden design was led by Father Ian Schlotterbeck, our rector from 1974-1986. His cremains were the first to be buried in the Memorial Garden after he passed away in 1987.
If you or a loved one are or were a member of St. Philip’s and wish to be buried in our memorial garden, please use the Contact Us form to inquire.
